An Extraordinary Event: Bringing Aldous Huxley Back to Life On Stage

On May 7, 2025, UNESCO held a unique session titled "Brave New World Revisited." The goal? To explore contemporary issues surrounding press freedom through the visionary lens of Aldous Huxley, author of the iconic "Brave New World."

But rather than hosting a traditional conference, UNESCO and Ask Mona created an entirely new kind of experience: a live dialogue between a presenter and an AI embodying Aldous Huxley himself. On stage, in front of the audience, the British writer—who passed away in 1963—spoke out to analyze the current challenges facing information and freedom of expression.

The innovation didn’t stop there. Following this initial dialogue, the audience was invited to directly ask questions to the AI-Huxley, creating a genuine and unpredictable exchange between a 21st-century audience and one of the 20th century’s most insightful thinkers.

This setup enabled the creation of a new type of interactive format, where participants could engage directly with one of the most relevant voices on freedom and social control.
